Effective communications leads to restructuring plan approval
The Challenge
As part of a capital restructure, one of our clients needed to gain approval from a wide variety of investors, from large venture capitalists to less sophisticated individual retail bond holders. A complex deal and voting process had to be communicated effectively to ensure that appropriate action was taken to keep the business solvent.
The Solution
Enviva helped prepare a series of communiqués using a number of formats to ensure that issues were understood, options could be impartially assessed and future actions clearly defined. Our work included:
- Liaising with a number of internal and external groups to ensure all material gave clear information and instructions appropriate for each voting group along with being legally compliant
- Scripting of senior management announcements, ensuring consistent messages were communicated across all media formats
- Scripting of explanatory videos for each class of security, which were then produced using a high profile public figure
- Production of website collateral to act as reference points for enquiries – frequently asked questions and glossary of terms etc
